Murgon

 

Murgon is nestled at the foot of Boat Mountain in the lush Burnett Valley. Visitors are surprised to find so much on offer within a small but spectacular area.Take a tour of the Barambah Wine Trail, with its 6 cellar doors set in some of the South Burnett's most picturesque countryside. Visit  the Bjelke Petersen Dam, participate in a water sport of your choice or picnic on it's serene foreshores.
Take a bush walk or just drive around the Boat Mountain area and watch the panoramic views unfold.
Down Murgon's thriving main street is a wide strip of parkland with a Tourist Information Centre (worth a visit), covered picnic tables, shady trees and colourful gardens. Wander down the main street and browse through the  many specialty shops on offer.
